WHAT HAPPENS IN IGNITE? [K-5th grade]

IGNITE Kids is a place where kids can experience the Word of God, have fun, make friends, and learn how to love and live for Jesus Christ!

Kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade will learn about Jesus through multimedia presentations, object lessons, and games

Here is what a typical Ignite Kids service looks like:

  • [WELCOME] Each child is greeted in the Ed/Youth Wing by their leaders.
  • [WORSHIP] Kids love music! We provide them an opportunity to praise God through energetic songs and teach them how to worship God through age-appropriate music.
  • [LARGE GROUP] After participating in worship, their leaders help them understand how the day’s BIG IDEA can fit into their everyday life. Our group leaders are serious about having fun with kids and passionate about teaching them the TRUTH of God’s Word. We want kids to see how God’s Word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last.
  • [WORSHIP RESPONSE] Following our large group time, the children are given the opportunity to spend some quiet time with God, reflecting on the lesson that He wants to impress upon their hearts. This can be done through prayer alone or with leaders, writing praises on the praise wall, recording prayer requests in the prayer box, or entering their thoughts into their own personal listening journal.
  • [SMALL GROUP] Children gather in small groups with committed leaders where they discuss the day’s lesson and what they’ve learned about God that day. The leaders will guide them in a small group activity that reinforces the lessons. Before leaving, each child will receive a special blessing from his or her leader.
  • [CURRICULUM] We use TRU FIRE STORY. The mission statement of Tru Fire is: “Tru Fire helps kids and their families connect to God, find their place in His big story, and respond to Him through the power of the Holy Spirit.”
